There's lots of different equipment for hamsters these days, i like to split them into three sections:
- Essentials
- Add Ons (Middle range importance)-
- Accessories (Extras)
Hamster Essentials are products like:
These are products that you should set up really before you
buy a hamster so you are prepared to give it a home straight away
with comfort and an exercising utility to relieve some of the
settling stress.
- Cage
- Bedding
- Wheel/Ball
Middle Range Hamster products are like:
These are products that really should be bought and are really
common (lots of people purchases these items) There nice to have and
makes cleaning a lot easier alongside helping your hamster.
- Food tray/bowl
- Sleeping house
- Bottle washer
- Mineral absorber
Hamster Extra's are items such as:
You do not need to buy hamster these products but it can add a
little extra entertainment, strictly for special occasions only!
- Fancy cage add-ons
- Mazes
- Hanging treats
Example Cage no.1

Example Cage no.2

This cage is made by Rotastak they are a top leading brand on hamster cages. The main compartment is there traditional base cage where you can add further extentions to the cage.
In this cage the owner has added a set of tubes that come out to the side, a top compartment with a wheel and then finally a lookout post for the all time climber.
Summary:
What ever cage you decide to buy, alongside various
accessories and utilities to assist your hamster, buying a super big
cage and not giving it the exercises it needs is not the way to go
about caring for hamster.
So my final message I'm going to say is make sure to be prepared to
care for your hamster before you buy it, and always buy the
essentials for your hamster so it can live a long and productive
life.
